Billabong Grom Comp

MIRAMAR BEACH, FL - Billabong Destin and Ride On Surf School are teaming up again to host the second Billabong Grom Comp of the summer season on Saturday, Sept. 5 at the Pompano Joe’s Beach Park in Miramar Beach beginning at 9 a.m.  

The Billabong Grom Comp is a surfing competition for young surfers ages 12 and under and will include four divisions:

• Super Groms ages 8 & under
• Mini Groms ages 10 & under
• Groms ages 12 & under
• Senior Groms ages 14 & under

No surfing experience is required and surfboards will be provided for participants. Inspired by the Occy Grom Comps that are held in annually in Southern California, the Billabong Grom Comp is all about children having fun.  

The entry fee is $15 which includes a signature event t-shirt and goodie bag. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to finalists in all four divisions.  

Parent/Guardian participation is also encouraged and push-in assistance is allowed in all divisions.
