Second Annual Starfish Charity Gala
FORT WALTON BEACH, FL - The second annual Starfish Charity Gala will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Sandestin Hilton Beach Resort, in the Grand Ballroom. The Gala will begin at 6 p.m., and will feature musicians from Sinfonia, a three-course dinner reception, and special guest speaker, Immaculée Ilibagiza, author of “Left to Tell.”
Tickets are $100 per person, and all proceeds will benefit the programs of Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida.
A survivor of the 1994 Rwandan genocide, Immaculée Ilibagiza has dedicated her life to the mission of spreading the word of peace, faith and forgiveness. Her story has been featured in numerous media outlets, including “60 Minutes,” CNN, EWTN, The New York Times, “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” and USA Today. Ilibagiza has also received numerous awards for her humanitarian work, including the Mahatma Gandhi International Award for Reconciliation and Peace in 2007.
