Nights of Fire!

NICEVILLE, FL - Spanish guitarist Roni Benise brings his Emmy award-winning Nights of Fire! to the Mattie Kelly Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville on Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. for an exotic and romantic voyage through the wild and beautiful sounds of Spanish Flamenco, Cuban Salsa, African Tribal Rhythms, Argentinean Tango, Brazilian Samba and more.

The performance is the first event of the center’s 2009-10 season of national touring Broadway and Artist series shows.

Performing nationwide and in television specials on PBS, Benise and 25 international performers, a lavishly decorated set, and breathtaking couture costumes, push the boundaries of traditional Flamenco/Spanish guitar by combining the elements of theater with Flamenco and Brazilian Samba dancers, Brazilian Samba percussionists, African tribal drummers, Havana horns, and brilliant theatrical lighting to create an unforgettable world-music experience.

The Emerald Coast’s premiere venue for live theater and concerts, the Mattie Kelly Fine & Performing Arts Center is located at 100 College Boulevard on the Niceville on the campus of Northwest Florida State College and is easily accessible from U.S. Highway 285, U.S. Highway 85, the Mid-Bay Bridge from Destin and Interstate 10.
