Topsail Hill Preserve
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park rests on County Road 30A - a road that connects some of the country's most famous beach communities. On the grounds of this park, travelers can visit 3.2 miles of beautiful emerald waters, coastal dunes of more than 25 feet tall, old-growth long leaf pines, lakes, sand pine scrub and a variety of wetlands. Guests of this park can be seen fishing from the shoreline for bass, bream, panfish and catfish. Visitors are also known to wander into this park for a little bird watching, hiking, bicycling and swimming. A full-facility campground features a swimming pool, tennis courts and shuffleboard courts.
Hours and admission:
Open daily from 8 a.m. until dusk; $2 per vehicle and $1 for bicyclists and pedestrians
Other fees:
Bungalow rental: $575 weekly or $1,100 monthly; camping: $38 plus tax
