Cold temps and trout

This month’s Emerald Coast Saltwater Seminar Series set for 6 p.m., Jan. 18, will be on winter trout fishing.

With recent changes, there is no more closed season for speckled trout. Seminar speakers will teach anglers how to take advantage of the colder winter temps and make the most of their day on the water.

The seminar, sponsored by Ships Chandler and Half Hitch Tackle, will be at North Light Marina in Niceville. Admission is free and no reservations are needed.

For more information, call hosts Sonny Granger 850-384-7737 or Joe Zwierzchowski 850-516-0709.
