Man busted with street folds

Daily News

People able to walk around with $1,007 in their pants pockets ought to be able to afford up-to-date tags for their license plates.

And up-to-date tags come in really handy when you’re toting around, as an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office report so eloquently stated, “three grams of suspected crack cocaine.”

Tavares Depreice Clayborne got pulled over recently when a deputy noticed his expired tag, according to a Sheriff’s Office incident report.

Clayborne told the deputies they could search his car and it didn’t take them long to find the “three grams of suspected crack cocaine” that “appeared to be ready to sell or distribute,” the report said.

They also found $1,007 in $20 bills in “several different pockets in his pants.” The cash was strategically pocketed in “street folds” … consistent with the sale of illegal narcotics,” the report said.

Clayborne was arrested and charged with cocaine distribution.
