Firefighters from Niceville, East Niceville, North Bay, Valparaiso and Eglin Air Force Base responded. They had the blaze extinguished by 1:20 p.m.

Mayville said the fire appeared to have started in a front bedroom. The state Fire Marshal’s Office will determine the cause.

Damage was estimated at $90,000, Mayville said.

Dennis and Sandra Monogan and their 5- and 7-year old daughters will be displaced, he said. The Red Cross was helping make arrangements for the family.
