Harbor Docks concerts

Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays, followed by the main act at 9 p.m., and at 8:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays at the Big Deck at Harbor Docks Restaurant, 538 Harbor Blvd. in Destin.

Cattle Barons’ Ball

Guests donned in casual Western wear will “Lasso A Cure at the ACS Ranch” at 6 p.m. March 15 at Linkside at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort at the Seventh Annual Emerald Coast Cattle Barons’ Ball. Entertainment includes The Modern Eldorados, live and silent auctions, complimentary drinks and fancy vittles. The Ball will benefit the American Cancer Society. Irish Street Fest

Wee ones can enjoy Irish music, dance and games all day March 15 at the Sixth Annual Irish Street Fest at HarborWalk Village. The Irish School of Dance and the Emerald Coast Community Band perform. Free Irish whiskey and green beer tasting until 6 p.m.

After dark, visit each venue for live music and games at the Grogg March. Bagpiper Joe Ashcraft will lead the march. Get Pub Passport stamped at all venues and enter for a grande giveaway. Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life Emerald Coast.

Art Walk

The March Art Walk will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. March 21 on U.S. 98 in the heart of Downtown Fort Walton Beach with local artists, live music and entertainment. Meet the Northwest Florida Ballet’s Kevin the Bird and other characters from Lightwire. An outdoor surf movie will be held at Fluid Surf Shop at sunset.

Vocal recital

The Madrigals and Belle Voci vocal ensembles of NWFSC present a free Spring Concert at 2 p.m. March 16 in the Tyler Recital Hall of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center on college’s Niceville campus.

PAWS on the Throttle

The Panhandle Animal Welfare Society hosts a Poker Run March 16. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at 752 Lovejoy Road in Fort Walton Beach. $15 hand. Rain date March 23.

Raisin’ of the Green fundraiser

The Second Annual “Raisin’ of the Green” fundraiser for Catholic Charities will take place from 12-3 p.m. March 16 at the Magnolia Grill, 157 Brooks St. in Fort Walton Beach, and will feature the traditional St. Patrick’s Day meal of corned beef, cabbage and potatoes, Irish music and a 50/50 “Irish-American Sweepstakes” donation drawing. The cost is $8/person in advance, and $10 at the door. Sweepstakes tickets may be purchased in advance or at the event, and you need not be present to win. Artwalk on the Harbor

Local and regional artists and vendors display their work at Artwalk on the Harbor, started by DestinBoardwalk.com and AJ's Seafood, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 16 within the Destin Boardwalk from east of Margaritaville to AJ’s.  The event is free.

Film Series

The Friends Guild of the Destin Library will sponsor a free movie night at 4 p.m. March 18. The program is free and open to the public. Films are unrated and directed toward mature audiences. Seating will be limited to 30 on a first-come, first-served basis.     

Wednesday Night Concert Series

The Chris Alvarado Trio performs a free concert from 7-9 p.m. March 19 in the Events Plaza at The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin. Call 267-8186.

Business Expo & Taste of Okaloosa County

Join the Destin Area, Greater Fort Walton Beach, and Niceville Valparaiso chambers of commerce, and their members, from 4-7 p.m. March 20 at the Emerald Coast Conference Center for the Multi-Chamber Business Expo & Taste of Okaloosa County. The event is open to the public.

Purses with a Purpose

The 10th annual purse sale and auction kicks off with a VIP Party from 6-8 p.m. March 21 in the storefront between Bose and North Face near Saks Off 5th at Silver Sands Premium Outlets. A $5 donation includes first pick of purses, access to designer handbag auctions, food from Carrabba’s Italian Grill and wine. All proceeds benefit Shelter House. Admission is free from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 22 with discounts on remaining purses, muffins and mimosas. Also, a purse fashion show has been added.
