The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation will present the 17th Annual Destin Festival of the Arts from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 27 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 28 at Henderson Beach State Park. A $3 donation for adults and children under 12 are free.
This signature event, recognized as one of Northwest Florida’s premier fine art shows, features more than 100 juried artists from around the United States who will dot the beachscape to compete for $9,000 in cash prizes. Explore a world of art ranging in a diverse palette ranging in acrylic, clay, collage, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, mosaic, oil, pen and ink, photography, digital art, pastel, pottery, sculpture, fiber, textile, wood to watercolor.

Other amenities are live musical entertainment, a bistro-style food court, Kid’s ArtStop and festival merchandise. A Collaborative Art Exhibit showcases more than 40 community artists representing students and adults. Admission is $3/adult and kids under 12 are free.
Saturday performers include Kyle LaMonica, 10 a.m. to noon; Boukou Groove, 12:30-2:30 p.m.; and Ed Williams, 3-5 p.m. Sunday performers are Coconut Radio Band/Steve, 10-11:30 a.m.; The Season Ammons Band, 12-2 p.m.; and Drew Tillman, 2:30-4:30 p.m.

No onsite parking is available; however, convenient parking with a free continuous shuttle is available at Emerald Coast Centre located near Beall’s Department store across from Henderson Beach State Park. Board air-conditioned motor coaches that will deliver you directly to the festival entrance. Henderson Beach State Park provides onsite handicap parking and is A.D.A. accessible.
