Baytowne on Ice

SANDESTIN – The ice skating rink at The Village of Baytowne Wharf will be open through Jan. 31 at the Apex Broadcasting Skating Pavilion. For $10 guests can skate for an hour and a half. Skate rental is $2. The first hour of each day is reserved for "kids skate" for youth 12 and under. Season passes are available for $140. Call 816-682-1003 for times and special skating packages.

Winter Guest Concert Series

DESTIN – All winter guests and locals are invited to a free concert from 2-4 p.m. every Sunday afternoon at HarborWalk Village. Concerts are free and open to the public. Jan 6 enjoy the soulful and funky tunes of Donnie Sundal.
• Jan. 13: Neo-island-rock-pop music of local favorite Coconut Radio.
• Jan. 20: Upbeat showtunes from the Northwest Florida State College Show Choir
• Jan. 27: Performance from Ballet Conservatory

Shirley Simpson in ‘Leading Ladies’

DESTIN – The Friends of the Destin Library will present Shirley Simpson on stage in “Leading Ladies” at 3 p.m. Jan. 11 in the library’s Calhoun Room. Tickets for this one‐hour event are $5 each ($3 for seniors and students) and are available from the Destin Library. To be assured of seating tickets must be purchased and picked up by Jan. 10. This program is open to the general public. Seating will be limited. Call 837-8572.
