DESTIN – All winter guests and locals are invited to a free concert from 2-4 p.m. every Sunday afternoon at HarborWalk Village. Concerts are free and open to the public. Jan. 20 enjoy upbeat showtunes from the Northwest Florida State College Show Choir.

Acting for Kids

DESTIN – After school theatre classes by Emerald Coast Theatre Company, in alliance with the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation's All Kinds of Art program, will hold a 10-week course designed to help children grow in creativity, communication skills and self-confidence by teaching techniques in acting through warm-ups, theatre games and character work using monologues taken from the musical comedy, "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” Classes for students in grades 2-4 will be held from 3-4:15 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 22 through March 5, March 19, April 2 and performance April 9 at Destin Elementary School. Cost is $160, and Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation members receive at 10 percent discount. Full payment due with registration payable to MKAF.

Snowbird Movie Matinees

DESTIN –The Destin Library will host a free movie matinee of “Hope Springs” for winter visitors at 2 p.m. Jan. 23. Seating limited to 30 on a first‐come, first‐serve basis. Call 837-8572.

Gumbo Contest/Silent Auction

DESTIN – The Destin History & Fishing Museum’s annual Gumbo Contest and Silent Auction Fundraiser will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Destin Community Center. Advance tickets are $10/adult and available at the Museum. Admission will be $12 at the door the day of the event. Call 837-6611 or email kathydestinhistory@gmail.com.
