SANDESTIN – The ice skating rink at The Village of Baytowne Wharf will be open through Jan. 31 at the Apex Broadcasting Skating Pavilion. For $10 guests can skate for an hour and a half. Skate rental is $2. The first hour of each day is reserved for "kids skate" for youth 12 and under. Call 816-682-1003 for times and special skating packages.

Tasting of Champions

SANDESTIN – The Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation’s Tasting of Champions to benefit children in need in Northwest Florida will be held from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 1 in the Coral Ballroom at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf & Beach Resort. Sample more than 600 South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival entries. Tickets are $50 at dcwaf.org.

Art exhibit

NICEVILLE – Soka Gakkai International presents The Century of Women, a national traveling exhibit, in both galleries at the Mattie Kelly Fine & Performing Arts Center through Feb. 1. The exhibit highlights both ordinary and prominent women from around the world who have dedicated themselves to a fair and peaceful future. Call 729-6044.

Call to Artists

FORT WALTON BEACH – The Arts and Design Society is inviting artists across the Southeast to submit works for the 21st Southeast Regional Juried Fine Arts Exhibition, hosted by Northwest Florida State College. JPEG images are due by midnight Feb. 4 for the Exhibition, which runs from April 21 through May 31. Call 244-1271.
