The college will also host special Student Nights for NWFSC students or area high school students who will be admitted free of charge by showing a current student ID on Oct. 15 and 16 only. Student nights are on a first-come basis and seating is limited. Doors open at 7 p.m. on Student Nights.

Beer From Around Here

SANDESTIN – Marlin Grill at Baytowne Wharf hosts the Third Annual Beer From Around Here featuring barbeque by Jim ‘N Nick’s, beer pairings from local breweries and live music on the lawn from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 19 to kick off The Village of Baytowne Wharf’s Beer Festival. Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival

SANDESTIN – Known as the “Best Beer Fest on the Emerald Coast,” the Fifth Annual Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival from 2-6 p.m. Oct. 19-20 features 40 on-site craft brewers, more than 100 domestic and international beers, seminars and samplings and live music. Dog Daze

FORT WALTON BEACH – Dog Daze 2012, the community’s annual celebration of dogs and the families who love them, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 20 at Liza Jackson Park, 318 Miracle Strip Parkway. New attractions include the Soccer Collies from Ocala. Local kids’ soccer teams (12 and under) are invited to go head to head (or toe to paw) with these talented soccer dogs. Kids play the goalkeeper position.

Other attraction include the Pensacola Furricanes, fun games, contests, dog-centered vendors, adoptable pets, and dachshund races, along with a pet parade with a Halloween theme.
