Destin Athtletic Club will host its first Paddle for the Cure at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 6 from Dewey Destin’s Restaurant by Crab Island to Marler Bayou and back. For novice or beginner this distance is two miles. For the elite, the race goes five miles from Dewey Destin’s to Joe’s Bayou and back. The entry fee is $25 and includes a Race for the Cure T-shirt and a donation to the cure for breast cancer. Register at 837-7300.

Destin Seafood Festival

DESTIN – The 34th Annual Destin Seafood Festival returns to its original home on the Destin harbor from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 6 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 7. Enjoy fresh local seafood, live music, artists, Kids Zone and more. The event is free and donations will be accepted at the door.

Dash Around the Table Tour and Expo

SANDESTIN – Chef Ashton combines culinary skill, British charm, passion for food and a strong sense of humor to create an interactive and entertaining show from 3-9 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Linkside Conference and Business Center, Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. He demonstrates how to prepare delicious dishes at home and has audience members involved in hands-on preparation. Call 315-4306 to purchase $15 tickets. Proceeds benefit Newspapers in Education.


DESTIN ¬ Father Fud invites you to celebrate Fudpuckers 30 year anniversary with the return of late night party from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Oct. 6 in the Down Under Bar. DJ Boom will help kick off the festivities. Drink specials will include $3 Smirnoff martinis, $2 well drinks and $2 Bud Light draft.
